Danielle Panabaker Talks about Her Alter Ego “Killer Frost”, Excited to Play the Supervillain

Everyone who watched the season finale of The Flash knows that he managed to tap into the speed force to go back to the night of his mother’s murder. Apart from seeing the past, present and future, he also caught a glimpse of the super villain Killer Frost – Caitlyn’s alter ego.

 In speaking with Den of Geek, Danielle Panabaker explained how much time they put into the character, in saying, “It was exciting as an actor because it’s a truly transformative look. Starting with the wig. When we first started doing ideas for Killer Frost, the first wig was a pixie, and we tried that on and we all collectively felt that her hair should be longer.”

Apparently, in their search for the perfect look, they even tried all sorts of makeup. In fact, she had her lips whited out but in the end settled for a navy lip.

She also mentioned that there were a number of changes with the costume as well. While her first costume built was a one-piece suit, the costume designer felt that it needed to be sexier. Of course, this resulted in starting over with creating a new costume for the Killer Frost.

When asked by Comicbook.com whether she isn’t happy with her character turning evil, her response was a clear ‘no’. Caitlyn also has complete confidence in where the characters are being taken. In her words, it will be “an interesting journey to see”.

So, there’s no doubt that she is excited to play Killer Frost. However, her fans will have to wait for the Killer Frost to make her appearance on The Flash.

The Flash Season 2 will premiere on Tuesday October 6, 2015 on the CW.
