Jon Bernthal Will Play The Punisher In Daredevil Season 2, Intends Give It His All

Jon Bernthal, from the Walking Dead, will play the Punisher in Daredevil season 2. In the second season, he intends to clean up Hell’s Kitchen and will do whatever it takes.

In talking about the casting, Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb said,“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences. Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”

As for Bernthal’s response in being picked for the character, he said, “I’m extremely honored and grateful, and I know the character has a ton of fans out there. I give every single one of them my word that I’m going to give it my all.”

It goes without saying that he wants to be part of a TV series again. It’s been three years after his character, Shane, was killed off. He still keeps in touch with the characters of the show while watching it as viewers would.

As for Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, he loses his sight as a young boy. As a result, he gains extraordinary powers that helps him become the superhero Daredevil. During the day, he works as a lawyer. At night he uses his powers to fight for justice in Hell’s Kitchen.

Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll form the remainder of the cast. For the second season, two new showrunners will take over from Steven S. DeKnight. They are Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie. Drew Goddard is the pilot writer.
