Michael Douglas has a long career behind him, as an actor and producer. He won the Academy Awards twice, plus a Golden Globe and an Emmy. He has plenty of box office hits behind him and a lot of fans all over the world.

He is the son of Diana Dill, an actress, and of Kirk Douglas, another actor with a huge history behind him. Diana was the one that raised Michael, since the parents we’re separated. He learned as a kid at the Allen Stevenson School and at Eaglebrook, Deerfield, in Massachusetts.

He graduated from the University of California in the Arts department, at the end of the 70’s. He begun as an actor in 1972, playing in The Streets Of San Francisco TV series. His TV series was a huge success and he later played in “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”, together with Jack Nicholson. That movie got five Oscars, with Michael Douglas winning the Best Picture award. Though he had great success with this movie, his next few films haven’t been that successful.

His luck with the movies changed when he played in “Romancing The Stone”, together with Kathleen Turner. “The Jewel Of The Nile” was a sequel made for that movie, based on the huge success of the first one. “Fatal Attraction” was another movie where he had a huge role that proved very successful. He won the Oscar with his role in “Wall Street”.

Another movie where he played together with Kathleen Turner was “The War Of The Roses”. It was a dark comedy that a lot of people enjoyed. One movie that everyone know was Basic Instinct, where he played together with Sharon Stone. Demi Moore played with him in the movie Disclosure, where he was an employee that was harassed by his boss.
