S.H.I.E.L.D TV Series setting up Marvel movie ‘Inhumans’, reports Badass Digest

We’ve known for sometime that the TV series, Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, has always had connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Only recently, the events in Captain America: The Winter Soldier have influenced this season’s episodes.

Now, according to a report by Badass Digest, the show will be setting up one of Marvel’s movies titled ‘Inhumans’.

As we have discovered in Season 2, the mysterious alien obelisk, which is connected to Skye turns out to be a key to a hidden city and that both Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D are looking for. The city is probably Attilan which is the biggest secret held in the Marvel Universe.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that the Inhumans will appear on the show even if one Kree alien was shown and which brought Coulson back to life.

It could also be that the show is making a connection to the Avengers: Age of Ultron as Hydra has been experimenting with Kree DNA throughout this season. It should come as no surprise that Skye may also be revealed as an Inhuman and which could be yet another connection to the movie that will be released a few years later.

The next episode of Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D titled “Ye Who Enter Here” reveals that S.H.I.E.L.D finds the ancient city before Hydra does yet this will leave Coulson no choice but to make the ultimate sacrifice.

It remains to be seen whether this city is actually Attilan. Also, the movie Inhumans will released on November 2, 2018.
