Charlie Sheen being Considered for the Role of Negan, Kirkman Requests

Can Charlie Sheen be cast as The Walking Dead’s own ‘bad boy, known as Negan?

Not only are fans curious but the director of the show, Robert Kirkman, also went as far as making a public request for Charlie Sheen to consider this through Hollywood Reporter.

In fact, he said, “Charlie call us, we will totally make that happen. We’ll do whatever you want.”

Given that we already know Sheen’s past, the only question that remains is as to whether this part (playing the character of Negan) would be a perfect fit for the actor.

And while illicit love affairs and his outspokenness against his boss, which got him fired, might give him that ‘bad boy’ image, one wonders whether he will be able to pull off playing Negan, who is ruthless and as bad as it gets, in the Walking Dead comics.

That said, and according to Movie Pilot, Negan is the most anticipated character to make it from the comic to the hit show on AMC.

And with the show hitting a rut in recent times, even though it’s fans remain loyal, a new character might just be the thing to liven up things a bit, both for fans as well as newcomers.

As for Sheen being known to play comedic roles, there was a time when he played serious drama-based roles such as Wall Street, Red Dawn and The Arrival and this might be just the thing to revitalize his career in that sense.

Negan, in the Walking Dead comic, leads a band called the Saviors, and that he uses to coerce communities into paying him tributes while eliminating any kind of ‘resistance’.
