American Idol launches with new judges

The 10th season of American Idol launched this week with new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith.

The shows this week were aired from New Jersey and Louisiana. I got to say that J-Lo brings a nice charm to the show and she is really sexy. Steven Tyler also has his own character and is not a bad addition. However, missing from the show is the rudeness of Simon Cowell which the viewers were used to. Only time will tell if the new line up is a success, but in my opinion, it really does not matter. People will still watch this show.

The first week of the show had some real interesting contestants, including a 16 year-old red haired guy (Crooner Brett Loewenstern) that sang “Bohemian Rapsody.” That performance was not available on Youtube, but here is another performance that I found on Youtube by him.

We also had a 15-year-old chubby guy (Jacee Badeaux) with a surprise voice.

However, I think one of the top ones that will probably make it to the Top 10 was Paris Tassin, a 23-year-old mom who had a special needs kid with hearing problem. She had an amazing voice and brought J-Lo to tears with her singing. She sang Carrie Underwood’s “Temporary Home,” saying she chose it “because it has meaning.”
