Courteney Cox’s ‘Cougar Town’ Postponed Due to a ‘Private Family Matter’

ET has confirmed that the production of Courteney Cox ’s new show “Cougar Town” has come to halt as the actress is attending to her family. A rep for ABC released the following statement to ET: “Production on ‘Cougar Town’ has been temporarily suspended in order for Courteney to tend to a private family matter.” In “Cougar Town,” Courteney plays a 40-something woman trying to get on with her life following an ugly divorce by dating younger men.

Update: Police Are Investigating Miley Cyrus Tour Bus Crash

Police say they are investigating a crash that occurred Friday morning involving one of Miley Cyrus ‘ tour buses. Police say that one person died and one person was injured when the tour bus, which was not carrying Miley, but was transporting members of her production crew, crashed in Virginia Friday morning

Heene Sought Restraining Order Against Man Who Reported Him to DCFS

New documents obtained by ET show that Richard Heene , the father of the so-called “Balloon Boy,” was granted a temporary restraining order against a Los Angeles man, in part because Heene claimed the man “eroneously (sic) reported [him] to the the Department of Children and Family Services.” Richard and his wife Mayumi asked for protection from Matt Wineroth for themselves and their three children, Bradford, Ryo and Falcon, back in 2006. They claimed that Wineroth, who they called an “ex-employee,” not only reported them to DCFS, but they also alleged that he and his partner Josh Chase had stolen a copy of a database from their production company, My You Me Productions

Eric Braeden Exits ‘The Young and the Restless’

After 30 years, Victor Newman will be leaving Genoa City, because Emmy-winning actor Eric Braeden , who plays the role, has chosen to exit following a salary dispute with Sony, the production company that owns the daytime drama. A rep for Newman tells ET that Braeden’s last airdate is November 2, adding that, as of now, salary discussions are at a stand still. “Contracts that actors sign are not worth the paper they are printed on,” Braeden tells ET.
